Roofers in Hampstead

Roofing and guttering in Hampstead, NW3

Hampstead has some of the most varied roofs in London. Georgian houses on Church Row and Flask Walk, red-brick Queen Anne villas around Fitzjohn's Avenue and Frognal, Arts and Crafts houses with steep clay tile roofs, and mansion blocks with long flat roofs and parapets. Much of it sits in conservation areas, so repairs need to match what is already there.

That means handmade clay tiles where the roof is clay, natural slate where it is slate, and lead dressed neatly at the dormers, valleys and tall chimney stacks that give Hampstead its skyline. The hill itself matters too. Houses near the Heath catch more wind and driving rain, which loosens ridges and lifts flashings sooner than on sheltered streets.

We repair before we replace, match materials to the house, and handle the gutters, hoppers and downpipes that period houses rely on to carry the water away. Your quote is free and lists the materials as well as the price.
