Roofers in West Hampstead

Roofing and guttering in West Hampstead, NW6

West Hampstead is red-brick mansion flats along West End Lane and long streets of Victorian houses between Fortune Green and the railway lines, almost all of them now split into flats. It is one of the busiest parts of north-west London for loft conversions, which shows on the roofs: rear dormers, roof terraces and new flat roofs on top of old slate.

Those conversions create the details that leak. Where a dormer cheek meets the original slope, where a roof terrace meets the parapet, and where a new flat roof drains into an old gutter, the lead and the edges have to be right. We check those junctions first when water shows up on a top-floor ceiling.

For the original roofs we repair or renew slate, re-bed ridges and repoint the stacks, and we sort out the gutters and downpipes that serve several flats at once. Every quote is free.
