A pitched re-roof by our own team: the old covering stripped back to the rafters, then new breathable membrane and new timber battens fixed, ready for the new roof covering.

Our own job photo
Expert RooferVerified memberWhat the photographs show
These photographs were sent in by our team from the roof itself. They show a pitched re-roof part way through: the old covering off, the roof back to its timbers, then new membrane and new battens fixed across the whole slope, with the slate roof of the house next door alongside.
Stripped back
The old covering comes off and the roof is taken back to its timber rafters, so the timbers can be seen before anything new goes on.
New breathable membrane
Membrane is laid across the rafters and fixed down, so the roof is protected underneath the new covering.
New timber battens
New battens are fixed in straight, evenly spaced rows from the eaves right up to the ridge, ready for the new roof covering.
Our own team and van
Our roofers do the work themselves, with the signwritten Nano van parked in the street below.
Thinking about a new roof?
Every new roof we fit carries our 20 year guarantee, and the quote is free with no obligation. See how we approach new roofs and re-roofing in London, or browse more photographs from our jobs.
The leak is often where the roof meets the gutter.
Rain runs off the slates or tiles, over the felt and into the gutter on the fascia board, then down the downpipe. When any link in that chain fails, the water ends up in the wall or the ceiling. A roofer who ignores the gutter, or a gutter fitter who never looks at the roof, fixes half the problem.
We do both. The roof, the lead, the fascias and soffits, the gutters and the downpipes are all our work, checked at the same visit and priced in one quote.
